CPS 13.0

So I installed it tonight in a new Win 7 VM Clone, have to deal with some of the upcoming 2.6 firmware.

Loaded fine, once I removed the CPS 12.1 that I cloned from. Seems to start much faster and has minimal notes.

We upgraded a few days ago and so far everything seems OK. Also updated the RMS and it seems more capable. Wi-fi OTAP is very fast and easy to set up.

Have not done RMS 2.0 yet, but maybe you can tell me some thing since you have --

We currently have multiple RMS 1 installations due to the Key limitations. See any changes in this area ?

Did they develop the DB in such a way that you can now do where used analysis on the data ?

Since you are 13.0 I am assuming you are using Template mode ?

Are you referring to OTAP or RMS license keys? As for the RMS keys, we had to order more from MOL as they didn't carry over with the database when we decided to install this on a different PC.

I'll be diving in completely on Monday in the hopes of getting Presence Notification working along with our GPS gateway and OTAP.

OK. None of our customers (nor us) are using privacy who are managed by our RMS. We do use RAS on our Capacity + system but I haven't seen any changes there.

Just checked. 255 is the limit when it comes to privacy and symmetric keys. It wouldn't let me add more.
For RAS and OTAP, I got to 500 and 300 respectively before I stopped.

So today we brought up a four site (SLR-5700s) LCP on 2.6 with CPS 13.0. Testing went well but it will not go live till sometime next week..

The question about keys with RM 2 has to do with supporting multiple customers in a single RM, we had run into the issue on RM 1 where the key could not be the same index at two companies because it was a unique Primary key at the server instance level. So multiple installations of RM was required to support multiple customers.

Ι upgraded yesterday 2 portables using CPS 13.0 and new 2.6 firmware

- a XiR P8668 (ex DP4801) VHF portable model # H56JDN9KA1AN, Tanapa # PMUD2904AA
- a Xir P8668 (ex DP4801) UHF portable model # H56RDN9KA1AN, Tanapa # PMUE3675AA

Under the "Device Features" a new "Available for Purchase" option appeared in the UHF portable only.
The title of this feature is "Broadcast Channel".
Despite the fact that I have used the same CPS and the same 2.6 firmware version this new feature appears in the UHF portable only. Not in the VHF (!).

The question is why this happens and what is this new "Broadcast Channel" feature ?
Searching system planner and release notes didn't help.

I do not see any reference to "Broadcast Channel" feature in the NA System Planner for 2.6. Did a search of the document.

Maybe it's a Capacity Max feature. Those guides are up on MOL now, but while I pulled them, I have not had time to even open them yet -

Hi,

It's a bug, same with EMEA, you can't add a RAS key , there is some bug with index (For Gen1 radios)
If you have already RAS Key, you can add others, but if not, you're stuck.

XPR 4550 with R01.12.17 firmware, CPS V13.0 (US-AA).

On the radios I tried today. Even with existing RAS keys, that error popped up and I was unable to add any RAS keys to any Gen 1 radio.

Motorola has two workarounds for this until 13.1 is released. First, you can revert to 12.1. Second, take any GenII radio (even the templates in CPS) and install your RAS keys. Match you security tab settings from the Gen I radio in the GenII codeplug, then simply drag the Security Tab from the GenII radio into your GenI radio. That will work.
