I just tried to install CPS v11.0 on my Vista machine - which works great with CPS v10.0

After 5 minutes of the CPS installing various stuff, I got a message that CPS v11.0 requires Windows 7 :(

Are there any easy workarounds or do I definitely need to install Windows 7?

Is CPS v10.0 the last version to work with Vista?

Thanks

Yes you need Windows 7 or 8, because CPS 11 needs DotNetFx 4.5.x and Microsoft don't support Windows XP or Vista with the required version of DotNetFX

Same thing happened with the APX CPS at version 13 if I am not mistaken

Will CPS v10.7 or 10.8 read a codeplug created using CPS v11.0?

I think my current early v10.0 CPS will read later v10.x codeplugs BUT will not read a codeplug created using v11.0

I don't believe so. Usually you get cross compatibility within major version numbers only, i.e. 10.0=10.5=10.7=10.8, and 11.0=11.2 but that is it.
