I found a Motorola brochure titled MotoTRBO Bluetooth Data and Audio. From the look of it, it would seem that it is possible to send serial data via integrated Bluetooth via DMR. Does anyone know the limits of the feature (obviously your not gonna get much throughput over the network) but would it work for say...sending barcode scans and/or small file transfers over the network?

Anyone have experience with setting these connections up?

2500ms average latency with just over 1 kb/s transfer speed, UDP data only. That sort of performance works okay for barcodes, simple data messages, monitoring status etc.. If you want to have a play with file transfers SmartPTT File Transfer is a free Windows application that will do file transfers over MOTOTRBO http://dl.smartptt.com/FT/20/en/SmartPTT_File_Transfer_20.zip
