Lately I've noticed what (appears) to be fake tags on some of Panter88s radios, namely the XTS5000s, and some 2500s. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but I figured I would post what I've seen and see what you guys have to say. (If I'm posting in the wrong sub-forum, mods, please move to appropriate place. Thanks!) Usually notice how clean & crisp the serial labels are compared to the rest of the back of the radio (scratched and gouged up).




Am I just overly Moto-OCD or is something fishy here?
