motorcoachdoug,

Do you have a codeplug you can share? Maybe I can see something in there that I do differently. I do NAS with the KNG/KNG2 and the APX - they are all different and the Harris seems to be the most convoluted. But then again I have been doing the others for years and I am pretty used to it.

Well i downgraded the firmware and still no joy at all and I tried it with the 851.01250 in slot 3 and slot 9 and no joy. It picks up fine on the TG that I have the channel on but does not pick up any other TG while in scan mode and yes i made sure the TG that I wanted to the radio to scan had the scan box checked marked as well.
If would be wise to use RPM10 with the XGPR02A26 firmware instead of RPM14.Otherwise you could end up having more issues than you are now.

However if I switch channels to that district PD TG i hear them with no problems at all. .... Not sure if the county has the PD TG to assigned to different towers for that district or county wide.
That tells me IDEN was originally correct since he can receive Ph2.

That statement smells more like a cell demand issue more than anything. While on the TG, it receives fine (demand for the TG in the cell), when not on the talkgroup, it doesn't receive (demand goes away.) Scan (while not on the talkgroup) won't cause demand.

With a new system, it makes some sense...

(Without looking at a known working template from a radio and the target XG100, it will be hard to answer if the programming is correct to start with. However, being on the TG and it still receiving OK leads me think it is...)

TRS,

Can you provide some additional details on this? What issues might you see using RPM 14 and the XGPR02A26 firmware?

For one, XGPR02A26 doesn't support many features that RPM14 added support for.

For two, it's really old firmware being used with the latest version of RPM1 and that can create conflicts of it's own.

Ok update for everyone. Under the group sets on the P25 trunked system set up page, someone here suggested that I remove the system nac from that page and uncheck the adaptive filter plus put the TDMA in slots 9 and 10 then it should work, well guess what it now scans like it should and what is strange is I had the TDMA in slots 9 and 10before and it did NOT scan at all but now it does...along with those 2 changes. I am very grateful to everyone here and say THANK YOU for all your help. I know mother moto and KNG very well but this has been a new experience for me and it goes to show that you are not to old to learn something new.. FYI it was Waynedc who made those suggestions.

Did you mean the System "ID" field in the P25 Group Sets circled below? If so,then that was pointed out by gatorbait3014 as being a possible issue.

Adaptive Filter should only be checked if all the control channels in the site are CQPSK.
