I have a few PD782's and purchased the full encrypt licenses for them.

I had a question regarding the random key encrypt feature.

Does this just involve setting a random list of AES keys in CPS and writing them to the radios then just checking the random key Enc box?

How does the radio sync the key changes? Is it just read by the Key ID bit so the other radios know which Enc key to use?

I have to keep two 40 bit RC4 keys in my key list to operate with MotoTRBO radios.

Currently we upgraded two TGs to AES encryption.

I was just curious if anyone tried the random key encrypt feature and how it worked out?

And was it ever confirmed if Hytera DMRA AES 256 will work with MotoTRBO AES 256?
