Anyone here familiar with programming Hytera repeaters for DMR? I'm familiar with XPR8300/8400s and they are dead simple. Color code, RX/TX and you are done. Yet the Hytera looks like it programs like a regular radio... wanting RX Group lists etc. So how do you program one of these suckers for one frequency pair but multiple talkgroups? I don't have the repeater on hand to play with yet so I'm just trying to plan ahead.

Thanks!!

The hytera repeaters can act as both a radio and repeater.

Simplest way to program them if you are only wanting a repeater is to set freq, colour code, ras restrictions (based on radio and group id's), encryption etc and if needed ip info for ras or linking, assign the channel to zone as only channel, write confirm and repeater should reboot and then come online.

If you want to perform any remote monitoring or programming download the hytera ras program and configure according.

pm me if you would like detailed info or you hit an issue.

if you wish to use the repeater as a 'normal radio' or monitor a talk group or two onsite then setup rx groups etc.
