The ones we started out with were made by BlackBox. I've seen the Ubiquiti units you're talking about but haven't tried one out yet. Our dispatch uses Telex consoles so we also use Neo-10 units at some tower sites which allow dispatchers to disable/control repeaters via contact closures and accessory connectors.

I have not used it in a while, but I seem to recall that it had the ability to close a relay if it lost a connection.
