So, I have a stupid question. Lets say someone is running a 5 site IPSC system in a wide area format with overlapping coverage as all repeaters are on different frequencies. And lets say the subscriber units are set to roam only, as the users are just users and not radio savvy.

Lets now say that the cable modem at one site decides to crap the bed and this site now is not part of the IPSC network..... However the site is still beaconing and the radios roaming to the site. So you have 20 subscribers out there throughout the network who are connected to various sites within the IPSC system, and lets say three users radios have roamed to the "off line" site. One of the users who has roamed onto the "off line" site makes a group call looking to reach another user who is roaming on a different site that is part or the IPSC system, what is supposed to happen? Logic would dictate that if the repeater goes "off line" due to either an internal failure alarm or loses connection to the IPSC system, that it should stop beaconing so radios don't roam to it?
