I see that P25 ARC4/ADP software encryption is now an option with NX5000 series radios.
No more calling home in the clear

JVCKENWOOD USA announces the launch of NX-5000 R4.5 firmware and FPU, adding new P25 Enhanced Encryption
(P25 ARC4) capability to NX-5000 P25 mode, along with other enhancements. P25 ARC4 encryption is enabled via radio
option license and allows units to communicate using P25 ARC4 encrypted voice and data messages in P25 Conventional
or Trunked systems. The P25 ARC4 license can be purchased at no charge.
