Is it normal to hear the tail of your transmitted audio after unkeying on M150s? I observed this behavior at an incident yesterday, but it was the first time I've used one of those so I'm not sure if it's a normal thing.

I only observed the behavior on P25 trunking since that's all it was used for during the incident, but speaking with one of the agency representatives it sounded like it might happen on conventional also. Firmware issue? I would not be surprised at all if it has ancient firmware in it since the same agency also had an APX6000 programmed on the system with radio ID "1".

I've never observed it before but I've also only used them on conventional and haven't on a trunking system. I've used the portables on trunked systems before and never noticed it. I would think it would not be normal.

Echo suppression option in the subscriber. It sets a mute for a period long enough to prevent you from hearing yourself through the repeater.
