Good morning everyone,
I am trying to enable GPS on our MotoTrbo radios, and I am confuse about ARS. It seems to me ARS needs to be activated for the GPS to work. However ARS is generating a lot of traffic on our radios. The radio transmit continuously. Actually our setup is one XPR8300 repeater in conventionnal in digital mixed mode and XPR6550 portables (20).
To that I use one of the portable to run a dispatch application, to monitor GPS and presence. (It works for GPS but is not reliable at the moment) Presence don't work.
I am wandering if I am missing a piece of equipment for presence (ARS).
What are your feelings about my setup ?
