Motorola cabinet rack mounting

I recently got a MSR 2000 in a tall (~5 ft) Motorola cabinet. This cabinet has a rack rail inside the front only. The rack hole spacings are standardized, but the holes are 1/4" unthreaded round holes. I've worked with a lot of racks, but haven't seen the unthreaded round holes before.

How are things normally secured to the rails in this type of cabinet? The MSR 2000 has four bolts with conventional nuts. It must have been a pain in the butt for whoever mounted this in the system. Are there some sort of equivalent to the "cage nut" used in square-holed racks common today? I've tried searching but have come up empty. If anyone could point me to the proper name, part numbers, etc, I'd appreciate it.

Normally there was a "c style clip that went on the rail and a screw goes thru the rack. I have used nuts and bolts also in the past. Don't miss those rails at all. I don't know if you can still get the MSI clips, but any auto parts store may have smaller ones that may work. Looked similar to this. Think its called a speed clip.

In the past I used Hammond rack rail clip nuts. part number 1421N100?

They are more robust and autocenter on the hole in the rack rail. Quality rack screws make a difference also. My favorite had a T20 security head to slow down customer tampering with our racks.

Thank you both! This is perfect. I was able to source the Hammond clip nuts locally during my lunch break.

The C-clips at local auto parts stores are a great idea and would be a good fall back. Since they have the Hammonds nearby and they're a little heartier, I went that route.
