Hello everyone,

So I was just looking around the Mototrobo Tuner and I accidentally clicked the auto tune button under the front end gain attenuation control while my radio was plugged in (see picture). Ever since I clicked the auto tune button, RSSI won't go below -75 dbm. I have tried cloning a variation of code plugs onto the radio and recovering the radio, but the problem still lingers. Any help would be appreciated thanks

The only way to resolve your problem is to write a previously-saved tuning file to the radio.

If your radio is still under warranty, you can ship it in and just tell them it's 'deaf'. Otherwise, without a saved tuner file from that radio, the only other cure would be a shop with the automated tuning software to tune it to spec.

Bad idea of playing with the tuner when you don't know what you are doing.
You should have backed up the tuning file first before playing around with it at least.

The only resolution here is to send it to Motorola or send it to a shop that could tune the radio back. You are not able to tune it without special equipment such as a function generator and network analyzer.

Thank you, after some searching, I actually managed to find an old save file on a VM that I had created a while back. After writing it to the radio, the RSSI went back to normal.

Yes, That's the last time I'm going to be messing with the tuner.

You learned your lesson, and thankfully you're not completely screwed. The first thing I do when a new TRBO radio comes across my desk is back up the tuning file and save it offline. You never know when those will come in handy!
