So i pzicked up on these radios and did not pay attention to model number. I have a aah55qdc9la1an trbo radio and ot appears to be 450 to 512.
Is there a edit available to bring these down to ham?
If not got to sell the radio to get one for ham use.

The Q indicates it is a 403-470 MHz radio. What does it say in CPS?

The "Q" in the model # indicates that's a 403-470 radio. However, many of my friends are using 450-512 6550's on the ham band & they work there perfectly. There is a hex edit method, and instead of reading the radio, you can only read the saved code plug, make changes, & program back to the radio. It's been described in several threads here. A friend sold some trade ins at a reduced price & that's why they were purchased. I still have a 450-512 XPR6300, & it works perfectly in the 440-450 ham band. GARY
