Hello all.
I have recently updated our fleet of DM4601 and DP4801 units to Firmware R02.40.20.
I've noticed that when using these units at fringe reception on a capacity plus system, they will emit a "dee doop" tone when attempting to transmit on PTT.
Depending on reception (or lack thereof) they will either make this tone followed by the usual 'long no reception tone' or will prefix with the "dee doop" tone prior to either then allowing transmission or descending to the 'no reception tone' and not permissing transmission.
It never occurs when reception to the system is good to excellent and it does not occur on simplex DMR use.
