Hi everyone! I just upgraded the f/w on my 6550 and was playing around with the backlight display setting in the CPS. There is supposed to be a dropdown box with different time-out values for the backlight. When I click on the dropdown box, I get error 1106. I can't seem to find anything online about this error.

Are you using the latest 11.2? If you are using 11.0 maybe it doesn't know about the new feature in the firmware if you're not running the very latest CPS?

I updated the f/w to R1.12.13, which I believe is the f/w released with R11?? I can click on the drop down box but, the only thing there is min. release and I get the 1106 error.

R01.12.13 was released with CPS 10.7.

I had been running CPS 11.0, but just installed 11.2. Got the same error 1106 and nothing but 'min' in the drop-down. Will dig out the programming cable and try re-reading the codeplug with CPS 11.2 later tonight.

Tried it out with the included sample xpr6550 codeplug, same result. However, with the sample xpr7550 codeplug, the drop-down is populated and values can be selected (no error message).

Sounds like a bug in the CPS. You should open a case with Motorola.

Yeah it seems as though when they came out with all these new ht"s they forgot the best one.The xpr6550 that is one of my favorites! For DMR anyway!Im gonna go check out the update you were referring to though. Thanks for the input on that.
