MOTOTRBO Site Survey software in Win XP?

I have the TRBO site survey software running on WIN 7, as do a few other people I know.
Several of us tried to use the program in XP, but the software does not "find" the radio on the USB port.
Known good cable and radio ( setup works in WIN7 thru 10)
I have done a lot of searching, and have not found many posts regarding this software AT ALL.
I have found obscure references that software will run in any version of Windows.
So, that would kinda mean to me that it is possible to USE it with a radio in earlier versions.
Anyone know of a driver that might make this work?
Would be a great use of older laptop, and avoid risk of killing my better programming laptop.

Has the XP computer had CPS installed? I suspect it needs the special Motorola USB driver installed, which is done automatically when you install CPS. I believe it's available as a standalone download as well on MOL.

No, I was told that TRBO CPS won't run in XP, has to be Win7 or newer.
so, never tried to install it.
Figured I would see if anyone had Site Survey run in XP before I tried further.
What you say makes sense tho.
I will just have to keep checking around.

There is a standalone installer version of the driver available for download on MOL, only 3MB. Install that & you should be good to go.

I tried to install older versions going back to 11.0 and none will install.
Error message is something like "operating system not adequate for application".
Does anyone have TRBO CPS running in XP? So that I know that it should run.
Ice-T, do you recall any specifics to help find that standalone driver on MOL? Like a name or anything.
Will go looking for that.
While I would LOVE to get 11.5 to run on XP, I really only NEED to have the Site Survey on the XP laptops.

If you were downloading CPS from MOL, you'd see this big bold text at the bottom of the descriptive paragraph below each version's download link: "NOTE: Windows XP and Windows Vista support ended with CPS 10.0"

In short, CPS 10.0 is the last version for XP.

Hmmm.
My partner in this just downloaded the older 11.0 version (again) last nite or this morn. He didn't mention seeing that message, but that message would REALLY make sense.
I wonder if we can go back to get VER 10 with current subscription?
Might be the fix.
We are not finding an obvious standalone driver for this.
Thanks so far to all that are trying to help with this.
Will let you all know what we find.

If you have a MOL account try calling them and see if the would send you what ever you need. I have called them a few times for mototrbo related issues and most issues were fixed with one call.

Thank you Zaarin.
The one called Radio Driver installed and found the radio perfectly.
Seems to run Site Survey, but will need to go out driving and run a map to be sure, but I am pretty confident its going to work now.
I just installed it on a DELL Lattitude D420, XP-PRO V. 5.1 build 2600 SP3.
It is Site Survey version 02.00 dated 2012. ( I hear there is a newer version )
Will try to install that driver on a couple other XP laptops maybe later today, or tomorrow.

Did a run out for lunch and used Site Survey while driving across town, then later checked the .KML file in Google Earth.
All worked fine.
Might be a good use of older XP laptops that won't run Win 7.
