Posted here because there doesn't seem to be a directly relevant category.

There is a NCS 3240 multi-switcher on eBay. This permits up to four transmitters and receivers to be interfaced with a single headset or microphone and speaker.

I have no connection whatsoever with this listing. I mention it only because those who are interested might miss it as it is listed under video editing equipment rather than any of the radio categories.

The BIN asking price is $300 but the seller considers offers. Since the last "as is"but working NCS 3240 went for about $80 and this seller doesn't know the best category to list it in, there might be an opportunity here.

Just search for "NCS 3240".

I've got one of those sitting in a box. Never done anything with it. Anyone want it make me an offer. I have the box itself and a power cable and NCS branded mike (looks like a Radius style mike). I've powered it up and it seems to work but don't have any docs or cables for radios.

Manuals, etc., are still available on-line, I believe, if anyone needs them.

One of our local agencies uses the smaller NCS switch in their battalion chief trucks. Works quite well between an APX, UHF NXDN and VHF P25 radio. They sometimes use them as repeaters as well. Simple to setup, but I would highly recommend going through the manuals to set the jumpers as well as the proper levels. The ones we have can also be rejumpered to use kenwood mics.

Yes, they made nice products. The multi-receiver units are especially interesting with the ability to provide spatial separation between up to six audio sources using only two speakers. The only real criticism I have is the usage of DIN connectors for interfacing. These can be a pain to solder. I've found hard to find commercially made DIN cables that can be adapted.

On the plus side, despite the fact that the original owners/engineers have left the company at least one of them has informally provided me with a lot of support and information about their products. Nice guy!

I should have noted that the DIN connections are on the 3240 units only.

I would kill for one of the smaller NCS devices for my truck but at a little cheaper than the full price. It would be really sweet to only have one mic amongst a couple of radios and also patch things together between different bands.
