Need to know how to force write with Invalid Fields in ASTRO25 CPS

I have a simple question: Is there any way to force ASTRO25 CPS to write to a radio when it complains of "Invalid Fields"?

Thanks for the quick reply's. I was hoping that there might be some trick to forcing the CPS to ignore the invalid fields. I'll

Your radio may not work correctly if fields are invalid.

You can save an archive with errors to disk only. That way, you can save a partially correct codeplug with some unresolved errors while you're working on it for scratch, but all the errors must be resolved before you can write to the radio, as Mars said. As robertfryohio said, the radio will probably not work properly with invalid codeplug information, so the restriction on invalid fields is in place to prevent improper programming.

How about posting the codeplug so that we can see what fields are invalid?

Under View in the menu, you can select "View -> Invalid Fields". It will open a window with the things that need to be corrected. You can click on them one by one and fix them. Saves a bunch of time.

This is not an issue since CPS will not write the radio while invalid fields are present.

Hell, even the unmentionables won't write with invalid fields.

What you trying to write that is invalid? Doing so which you can't in cps won't add features If that's what your after.

I've had the same question ... I just want to write the System Wide Talkgroup FFF to the radio; seems reasonable enough right??? However not even the powers that be in Schaumburg can do this anymore.

They are using the wrong tools for the job. Tell the children to stop playing with Depot and use ISH Browser instead. They'll need to know the correct block and offset the data needs to be written to, but it can be done. If Motorola needs help, direct them to this thread and I will do tech support for them for $100/hr.

Hint for Moto: It's likely somewhere between block types 4050-4080. You'll have to trace it via a before/after compare.
