Anyone know what the proper Motorola power supply is for the NRN8815B UPI?

Is it center positive and true 10.5V?

Is the PC to UPI cable just regular RS-232 or is it something proprietary?

And for that matter, is there a cross-reference of pager programming cradles to part numbers?

I'll look for you when I get home. I have one with a couple of cradles. I'll post the model numbers for those too.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it. Trying to get some pager programming gear together as we still use an on-site system.

Center pin is positive. 120VAC, 15W input / 10.5VDC, 6.3W output. None of my cradles have part numbers on them. Oddly enough, I still have the original box that the NRN8815B came in, with the three floppy 3.5" diskettes.

I don't blame you. If you come across anything out there let me know. I want to get as much stuff together as possible.

What all are you looking to get?
Whatever I can. Nothing specific.

While I've got you, do you know what kind of cable is used between the UPA and the cradles? I can't remember for the life of me what it is back when I did this stuff. Seems to me it was a coiled cord like a telephone handset cable. Looks like they are 5 conductor things - is it just a straight through cable?

Also, on the UPA, is the PC interface a standard RS-232 cable or something special?

Thanks!

The coiled cable is a 4 conductor cable terminated with RJ12/11. It is a "mirror" cable, so pins 2, 3, 4 & 5 are reversed on the other end, like:

2 - 5
3 - 4
4 - 3
5 - 2

The OEM cable uses 6p4c. If you use a 6p6c, just make sure you only use the middle 4 conductors, 2,3,4 & 5.

The PC cable is a 25-Pin Male for the UPI and a 9-Pin Female for the computer serial port. I don't have a tester for it, but I assume it is just a serial cable, based on the schematic on Batlabs. http://batlabs.com/images/pgrrib.gif The one that came with mine is labeled 3005020-S0-09. I hope this helps.
