Short version: Users are reporting that ~5 seconds before the repeater IDs, any traffic currently in progress is dropped. Repeater owner provided data file, and the CWID options are as follows:
Transmit Interval Time: 10 minutes
Transmit Delay Time: 5 seconds
CW Speed: 20 wpm
CW Modulation Delay Time: 600 milliseconds
Audio Frequency: 1000 Hz
Interval Activity Transmit: checked
CW ID Override: Unchecked
CW ID to RA port: Unchecked
CW ID on Channel Change: Unchecked
Encode with QT/DQT: Unchecked
The Transmit Delay Time" looks suspicious, of course, but the help text says this: "Transmit Delay Time allows a field engineer to configure the amount of time from when a channel is changed while the Transmit Interval Time is counting down or when the call ends while the CW ID Override is disabled until the transmission starts to send the CW ID"
My translation of that is "since CW ID Override is unchecked, the CW ID transmission should start 5 seconds after repeater activity ceases if activity is present when Transmit Interval Time has elapsed." Here's the question: am I interpreting that incorrectly?
I think a workaround would be to check the "CW ID Override" box, which would make the CW ID occur alongside any active transmission, but that really shouldn't be necessary. Anyway, is there some other setting I should look at in KPG129DN? Am I missing something obvious here?
