Question for the group... I recently purchased an XPR 2500 and I'm looking to add ISPC and Enhanced Privacy to it. From what I can see on my MOL account I'm looking at HKVN4154A for IPSC and HKVN4084A for EP. The odd thing I noticed though is that when I look at the details for EP, under the 'Available' column it shows 'N'. Does this mean they won't let me purchase it?? (It shows 'Y' when I look at the IPSC details).

Thanks!

It should be orderable in CA. Call the order desk.

N just means it's not a stocked item. All radios and all EIDs will always show an availability code of N. Radios because they have to be kitted up, EIDs because they have to be generated

What does the status "Tech Edit Hold" mean when ordering an EID? Mine's been sitting like that for nearly a week now.

Haha ok, so we have one vote for "it's normal" and one for "it's not normal". I assumed if I order an EID they will just email me the string. Seems like something that would always show that it's in stock??

I won't have the radio for about another week, so I'll follow up on it again once it arrives. Thanks all!

I usually see 'tech edit hold' when the order desk has forgotten to put frequency information on a repeater or duplexer order. For an EID, it shouldn't be there, unless the entitlement authorization tutorial class isn't logged into the system correctly under the customer's account number.

This is especially true if you are ordering a wideband EID under your personal account but you took the class under your company's MOL account in LMS. You will need to make sure that the two are associated together for the order desk.

It is normal. The EIDs are not actually stocked. They don't sit on a shelf in the warehouse. The N doesn't mean you can't order it. If you couldn't order it, the part number would come up as not found. Hope this helps.

Realistically speaking the "Availability" code really is useful for accessories and parts shipped from the Elgin DC. If it shows as "Y" then that means they will ship same day as long your order is in by 4 CST. Everything else that does not ship from their DC will show "N". Plus the lead times they show are bogus and entirely pulled out of the air. Don't ever pay attention to the lead time they quote on MOL, it's just a made up number they had to populate the field. Motorola's ordering systems are running off a version that Oracle stopped supporting like 5 years ago. It's pretty amazing it hasn't blown up completely yet.

Interesting. I got an email today from Motorola with the EID in it. Took awhile, but at least it showed!
