Hello,
I was wondering if a PR1500 is capable of doing channel announcement?

I believe it can do it, however unlike the xts2500 or 5000 which has it by default if I recall correctly you have to have that option flashed/added to it. You may or may not have the option depending on the flashcode. I believe the fash code option for channel announcement is Q446. If I'm wrong some one will correct me.

I looked in flash options in akardam for the PR1500 and found that there are only 4 flash options for the radio. Q446 is not one of them so I guess I cant do it. Thanks for the reply.
