As some of you may recall from a previous post, I am an end user on a Motorola Capacity Plus system. I week ago I was advised to order 6 XPR3300s. I explained to the sales person to program them the same as our existing XPR6500s. Today, I unpacked them and gave them a try. We have 3 talkgroups and they checked out fine. However, when I switched to Talkaround 1 through 4, the portables could not communicate with one another. I did notice that the LED light lit up on the receiving portable, but no audio was heard.

So, my questions are:

-Is the exact same CPS used for XPR6500s as the XPR3300?

-Does anybody here have any wild speculation on what the likely issue could be?

-Could it be something simple like the correct RF frequencies, correct Time Slot, but wrong color code?

-Could it be that encryption is checked on the one profile and not the other?

-Could it be the wrong encryption code?

I also should add that I was very busy at work today and only had a very few minutes to try this.
