The MD380 is not a Motorola, please don't expect it to perform like one or include the required Motorola Restricted Access to System (RAS) protocol.

Restricted Access to System (RAS) has two main functions. Keeping unauthorized radios of the system, and to ensure low end radios like the MD380 do not effect the quality of service that system provides.

Please throw your MD 380 radio into the trash where it belongs. Do not place this radio on a commercial DMR system.

The MD380 is a piece of shit. I bet you bought it because you're a ham and it was the cheapest radio available. Or maybe you bought it over the CS700/750 because it has a color screen instead?

Flush it down the toilet before you cause interference on someone's system. If you want RAS, you need to buy a real radio, like a Motorola. Not some shitbox out of China that requires a firmware update so "repeator" (misspelled) is corrected in the GUI.

Please don't do that. I'll pay postage so you can send it to me to be used as a target on the rifle range. The big question, do I shoot it with the Bulgarian, or Russian AK? GARY

You say "real radio" so is real radio consider HYTERA ? or CS7000 ? if they are real radio can they enter to RAS system or is it only Motorola protocole ?
as for the interference a lot of hams worldwide use it in the DMR-MARC and other networks and dont get any complain of interference ...

They have been known to cause interference on the opposite time slot from the one they are transmitting on. Happened here, & the owner was warned that he was causing interference. He returned the radio to the seller. Are you happy to buy the cheapest DMR radio known to man? Aren't you proud of your hobby, & wouldn't you like to get a quality radio to use? My other hobby is guns, & I work for the largest FFL in Florida. You will NEVER see a Hi Point, Jiminez, or Raven on my hip. You will see S&W, SIG, Glock, or HK. If a hobby is worth getting into, get a quality device, not the cheapest bottom of the barrel, whatever the hobby. That doesn't mean having to spend lot's of $. I recently picked up a mint XPR3500 for $215, still under warranty. Sadly too, it seems the people who buy these radios have no radio etiquette, got their ticket from a box of Cracker Jacks, & spent the last 20 years on 11 meters. Anyone listen on NA lately? What a joke. BTW, I'm working on getting a link to Canada Wide TG 302 on the local Palm Beach machine. GARY

The reason a repeater owner is using RAS is to restrict operations to MOTOROLA only radios, and to restrict operations to users with the correct RAS key. That same repeater owner probably (if he is smart) uses high level encryption for the same reason.

If you are using a POS China copybox radio on any DMR system, it's only a matter of time before you create interference to another user. Just have someone with decent (yes, EXPENSIVE) test equipment show you what CRAP your radio is outputting.

The question has been answered, any additions are pointless. Thread closed.
