just say "over" LOL. In P25 mode there is nothing you can add to indicate the end. if your using analog you can set up the MDC as 'post signalling' that way the burst is sent when you unkey.

Here's a short tutorial on radio usage if "Roger Beeps" are not available on your system. Works on all modes including P25 Phase I and II, Provoice / ESK, DMR etc. Can also be encrypted with Dakstar1056 and AES2048.

I may be only one of a few who actually took a 'roger-beep' CB microphone, gutted it and added the circuitry to a DTMF Moto mike and tuned the two beep tones for Quindar, pre and post.

On my Spectra, it was pretty geeky, at the time.

What's funny is that in the latest firmware for the PD782 you can make custom PTT and power up tones. I got a little carried away, I made whacker standard Motorola tone, Nextel, Quindar, PRC Thales, etc and you can change them or turn them off on the fly via the menu. So now all the deputies in my county sound like they are turning on a HT-750 and talking on a smartnet system. :wank:
