Of course after a windows update, possibly this one.

KB4601382 which is not removable according to MS

RPM now cannot find virtual comm ports (VCP) using an FTDI serial to USB dongle. RPM was previously working with these virtual comm ports without issues. RPM2 is unaffected. RPM and RM both provide errors, but RM will see the enumerate ports but then further error out stating the comm ports are use.

VCP is working fine with other vendor CPS.

Anyone else seeing this????

I've only tried 20 plus years of windows knowledge to fix and nothing is resolving this. Starnard driver removal, reboot, re-install and update process followed. Same for RPM. No change.

Specifically, windows assigning a comm port to a BT connection to a Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5g via 5.0 BT adapter. As soon as this device is removed, virtual comm ports enumerate properly to RPM.
