Not sure how well it would work with low power bluetooth modules, but a birdy told me Motorola was thinking about using bluetooth to turn your XPR5550 into an extender when connected to an XPR7550 via bluetooth. XPR7550 does not receive any traffic on its typical RF channels but instead everything is done via bluetooth :wank:
