So I was playing around trying to interface s siren with no DEK on an XTL2500 and ended up enabling the ss2000-sm.
CPS warned that serial communication would no longer be supported. I thought that was fine since I was using a usb cable anyhow.
Now I can't read or write the radio using serial or usb. The radio functions fine. The computer recognises the radio.
If I plug directly into the body the head reads "no usb". This is obviously a remote head setup.
What do I try now?
