Thanks

I looked into this as well. I couldn't find a way to do it. Seems the firmware comes with a finite set of announcement files and you can't add to it. I could be wrong, but I never found a way to do it with TRBO CPS. I'm sure others here have worked around that, though.

Sure. Make the file, in the appropriate format (I think it has the same requirements as XTS/APX voice announcement) and point your CPS to the directory in which they're stored on the computer. Upload to the radio, enable VA, set the file for what you want to do. Should be relatively easy.

OK it was easier then I though. Thanks for the help “escomm”
I used Audacity A free multi-track audio editor and recorder
http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

The setting are Project Rate 8000HZ and mono input on the microphone.
I would suggest you get very SEXY voiced lady to make you Voice announcements so as to enjoy changing channels. ( I used my voice and I don't like the way I sound ). But they are in my SL300 and now its time to work on the Voices for my APX

Again thanks for all the help for everyone on the board

Hope to see some of you at Dayton!!

Or you can use the AT&T Text to Speech site (Google it). However, you should execute a licensing agreement with them if you are intending to use the site for anything more than demo purposes :cop:
