SL7550 with strange Issue

The unit, one of only 25 is the only one having the issue. It turns on and will not place a call until after it has received a call. These are private calls on a single site Cap+ system. I've checked the rest channel IP, IP scheme of the system, and tried hang times. Nothing seems to help. Had a peer at another company check the codeplug who also found no issues.

This single site system is only 2 repeaters and moves about weekly being set up on weekends. The two repeaters are connected by a single ethernet cable in back. No router or switch is used. There are 2 other SL7550's on the system and 22 XPR 6550's, none of which has this issue.

Thoughts?

Please post a bit more information, like firmware revisions for your radio and whether you have the same revision as the rest of the fleet?

When was the last time this radio was aligned?

Is RAS enabled on the system? If so, is it set up to limit access to permitted radio IDs only? This could explain why it's only able to key up the repeater after another radio has already activated it.

I agree with mars alignment is the probable culprit.

you can confirm its not the codeplug by cloning one of the known good units to the bad unit.

RAS is not enabled.

Firmware for repeaters is R02.40.01 as they are new.

The problem SL7550 is R02.02.01

XPR 6550 is R01.09.00

Other SL7550's are R01.09.00

could be firmware. I have not noticed any similar issues with any 7550 I have to maintain. Mine are at newer firmware versions though v2.40 + you may want to update the firmware.
