:wtf:

So, I have a new out of the box SLR-5700, which is on R01.02.00.

So at first I could not read this thing at all, with any version of CPS -- Inside VMBox or outside of VMBox.

I could read my SLs and XPR Mobile, and XPR-8400 no problem but not this new box.

So Finally, I uninstalled CPS, Flashzap and the Radio Drivers and reinstalled them in the base Windows 7 OS on my Toshiba using CPS 11.5.

Now I can read the Unit, that's why I know what firmware version is in it.

But, in my VMBox instances, 11.5 and 12.1 I still get a Cable error #1687 and the device has the yellow ! but the driver say's it's up to date..

Again, I can work on any radio except the new SLR repeater.. Any suggestions ?

====== :wank:

Do you have the VBox set up for 2.0 or 3.0 USB support? And does this match the ports?

This configuration is in the settings menu of VBox. I assume we are talking about the same thing; Oracle.

Yes, we are talking about Oracle VMBox --

Never played with this before, and I have beern using it for years with the various Region versions of CPS with out issue.

In looking at Setting USB, The Controller is Checked, but the Enable USB 2.0 (EHCI) Controller is not checked, and there are no filters..

I will try the EHCI option --

:-( I just realized this has worked so well for so long that my install of VMBox is ancient --

R4.2.18 --- Maybe an upgrade is what's in the cards tonight to the latest 5.0.16 release -

Although it still bothers me that I can read and write everything but this new platform, but then maybe they have a much newer USB chipset -

I went through similar issues with getting VBox running a few weeks ago. If you have further issues, hit me up and I'll compare settings with you.

Once you get the latest VBox installed, make sure you install the Guest Additions and the Extension Pack.

Mars,

Thank you -- That was the issue, and the biggest issue in the process was backing up all the VMs to my external drive first -
