Hi guys,
Recently I have upgraded my VHF Astro Spectra radio to a Spectra PLUS. With the old legacy Vocon I was able to set up MDC and ASTRO selective calling. The radio displayed the other radios' incoming IDs on the display, I could select the IDs from a list when I wanted to call someone. And my personal favourite was: I could use the MON button to mute the speaker if I did not want to listen to other hams talking to each other on the channel (I could do this with MDC on analog and with ASTRO on digital channels).
When I switched to the AS+, I noticed that the radio acts very very weird. With the same settings applied, it will not unmute on analog channels and it will not mute on digital. I have double checked all settings and everything is the same like it was in the old legacy Astro Vocon. I am using CPS R20.00.00 for the AS+.
- analog signaling type: MDC
- unmute conditions: And Unmute, Or Unmute (both checkboxes ticked: radio can receive incoming Call and Page too)
- receiving MDC calls: "AND" type
- receiving ASTRO calls: "Data and Squelch"
- HUB defeats PL is turned off (no change when it is turned on)
Any ideas?
P.S.: it won't unmute even when the squelch is set to 0 or MON is set to ON.
