Greetings.

First, I have read the existing posts on this topic. As a result of those I downloaded and installed the conversion files from this site. My version of CPS is 11.0. The radio in question is an XPR-6580 with model number H55UCH9LB1AN tanapa number PMUF1410AD serial number 777TNC1558. Screen shots from CPS are attached. Current firmware in the raiod is R01.05.03 I also downloaded and installed MOTOTRBO_R011023_3600_Trunking_to_R011213_Portable_Migration from MOL. CPS can read the radio. When I click Device>Convert CPS finds the radio, allows me to select the radio, but only offers "NONE" As firmware for conversion. I am not sure what I am missing here. Two friends each bout one of these radios on eBay. I would like to help them out here, but not sure what I am missing.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but did you configure CPS to point to the location of the firmware on your computer?

Try installing the regular firmware package as well as the migration.

You probably first need to upgrade your analog firmware to the 01.10.23 that the conversion package specifies. You will also need to pay for the HKLN4429A - Analog to Digital Upgrade software license, to Activate the Digital features after the Conversion.

My 6580 which has Trbo has FW 1.12.11. It's a $75 upgrade you have to buy from MOL to enable Trbo. In my case, installing the Trbo upgraded the FW. Great radio for 902/927. GARY

Thanks, I have the current firmware package installed, but I can not find the older 01.10.23 on MOL. Could someone post it, or tell me were to look on MOL?

Thanks,

Glenn

Resource Center->Software->Two-Way->MOTOTRBO->Conventional - Firmware, Device Update Guide MOTOTRBO Portable & Mobile 3600 Baud Analog Trunking Firmware R011023.

That brings up a page with download links for the mobile and portable firmware packages.

I finally found it on MOL..... And, that did the trick. That folder on Drop box has it all, and as I see this fellow is still selling these radios on eBay, their well may be others needing the solution.

Upgrade the radio to 01.10.23 (Current firmware for the analog trunking configuration) easily done on CPS 11.0. Then convert to 01.12.13 Trbo. Call Moto order digital key.

Thanks again all!
