Hello all, I have a XPR7550 IS (AAH56QDN9PA3AN) unit that has R02.50.05 firmware and from what I have read, it is supposed to be able to operate on the UHF R1 band and on the VHF band. For some reason however, I can only get the radio to operate on UHF R1. If anyone has any helpI would gladly take it, thank you.

I think the XPR series is single band only. The only dual band Motorola I know of is the APX7000 (and the Quad Band 8000)

The "Q" in your model number means that the radio is the UHF version:

403-470MHz UHF model:
AAH56QDN9PA3AN XPR7550IS CSA intrinsic rated, color display, GPS, Bluetooth, 4W, 1000 channels

Ok, thank you. Would you happen to know what the model number for the dual band one is.

The XPR7550 is not a dual-band radio. If you want a Motorola radio, you would have to buy an APX7000 (dual-band) or APX8000 (tri-band).

I'm closing this thread because the topic doesn't require any further discussion.
