I have a XPR4500 and I believe it is limited to 160ch from the original spec's. I see that all the XPR4550's show 1000ch and I was thinking they were 160ch originally as well ? I think my FW is 1.06 or 1.08(not sure). Does the FW increase the number of channels in this gen 1 radio ? The statewide ham system is growing faster than I ever thought it would .
