XPR4580 conversion

Hi all,

I have an XPR4580 that I'm trying to convert from 3600 trunking to analog. I know this has been covered ad nauseum but I'm having a strange problem. The firmware on my radio is 1.10.00. When I install the 1.12.17 firmware package on my computer and try to upgrade, the CPS is not finding the package. It seems as though the installer is putting it into the right place in the directory structure, but it's just not finding it. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

You need to run/install/flash the conversion package.

I tried flashing the conversion but I don't have the correct firmware to do it. When I go to Convert, it won't let me select firmware or a code plug.

You must have the latest trunking firmware installed before the conversion package will work.

Use CPS 12.1. Everything should go fine.

Note: Once the conversion is complete, you will have an analog-only radio. You'll need the digital entitlement. No 900 MHz ham DMR for you, until digital is activated. Analog however, will work fine.
