Hello all, i am trying to upgrade the firmware in my xpr5550 to 2.40.02 from 2.10.xx. I am running into an issue and would like to know if i am missing something. I have tried several different ways to try and get this to work. I have used the rear cable as well as the front cable. Have also tried reading the codeplugs before programming. Have tried just going in and doing the update radio without reading, and to no avail it wont recognize the upgrade package. I get the screen to pop up and show my model # and serial # but when i go to the drop down menu for the firmware/codeplug update selection they both say none in the fields. Please help as i am wanting to upgrade this radio. Thanks in advance.

Current firmware is an oddball one now that i look at it.
It is S02.10.77. What kind of firmware is this.
Model # is : AAM28TRN9KA1AN

Also forgot to add, i am using CPS 11.0.

The problem is your radio is set up with some kind of beta or alpha firmware. That affects everything, including the code plug.
There might be hope for your radio, in terms of getting it re-flashed with release firmware, but no guarantees.
