Hey peeps!

I tried to connect my XPR5550 to my 2010 Ford Fusion via Bluetooth, didnt work out and cant figure out why.
I put the 5550 is discovery mode and search for it via SYNC on the car, it finds it and i out in the pin number, radio says its paired but then goes back to the discovery search mode and i cant connect to it from SYNC

Tried it on the SL7550 and same deal. Even tried searching for SYNC from the radios and get to the same end result. Am i doing something wrong or missing a step?
I disconnected my phone and even deleted all BT devices from SYNC and tried it with just the 5550 wit no success

Where is the push to talk button mounted in your Fusion? If you don't have one, how would you expect the Motorola bluetooth to function?

I was just assuming i could use the one on the radio itself?

My understanding is i could connect it to the sync and it should send audio over the car speakers, and if i needed to TX id just hit the mic PTT either on the 5550 or on the SL7550 whatever i have connected at the time. But neither radio is connecting to sync. Is that because they dont have some sort of PTT attached to them?
I could try sticking some cell phone mic/ear bud into the SL7550 and try that way and see if it connects to sync or not... that would act as a PTT id think no?

Hmm. I have a regular Motorola H18 or something like that paired with my XPR7550 and it works OK w/o PTT function. As you can imagine, it's RX only, but you can use VOX with the earpiece to get full TX/RX functionality, however without a PTT button. Point being, the XPR's will pair OK with regular BT handsfree headsets, so you'd think it would work for sending audio to the car as well. Oh, and yes the PTT on the radio side will still work to send audio via the normal internal mic in the radio when it's paired to a BT headset.

I have a Plantronics headset, but contrary to what Alpha experiences, my audio comes from the headset when I press the PTT on the radio. In CPS under General and Microphone, I have Default selected for Mic Selection Rule. I wonder if you have it set for Mic Follow PTT, or if it is something else.
