I had that same issue. Last thing I tried was re-seating flex cable. Fixed it right up

When I encountered this issue a firmware upgrade resolved it. My CH firmware was to old and required updating in order to communicate to the brick.

Took it apart again yesterday and had someone else double check. The flex is seated probably and all the connections look good.

Is it possible that this radio was originally a W series head? I'm wondering if that's the case and it wasn't synced properly when it was converted. I feel like I might be reaching with this idea, but I'm willing to try anything at this point.

Please VERIFY the part number of your brick to control head flex. It should be an HKN6192A with a Rev of E, at least (8464075H05).

Finally managed to check. It is a Rev E cable with a Rev C assembly. Shows part number hkn6192a and the 846 number matches.
