I have a VHF mid power XTL5000 with an 03 control head. The brick is directly wired to my battery, and the ignition sense wire is connected to a circuit that goes on and off with the ignition.

The radio will not power itself on automatically no matter which CPS selection I make: "Required", "Soft Powered Off", or "Ignition Only". I have to press either the power button, or the PTT button to turn on the radio. However, the radio does turn itself off when the ignition is turned off.

CPS R20.01.00
XTL5000 Model #: M20KSS9PW1AN
FLASHcode: 50D288-801C84-1
Firmware: R20.50.05
Nautilus: R06.00.00
DSP: R19.50.00

From the CPS:

"Required"
For an O3 Control Head: "Ignition" presence is required for radio power-on or power-off; a PTT button-press or a power-button press powers-on the radio, the power-button press powers-off the radio.

"Soft Powered Off"
For an O3 Control Head: "Ignition" presence is not required for radio power-on or power-off; a PTT button-press or a power-button press powers-on the radio, the power-button press powers-off the radio.

"Ignition Only"
For an O3 Control Head: No button press of any type powers-on or powers-off the radio; the radio follows the "Ignition" state.
