XTS5000 Cant add more than 254 Conventional Personalites

Hey

I have a XTS5000 Model 3 UHF Flashed as turnked. Under Radio Wide it says that i have 1000 channels. So i am trying to it does not let me add more than 254 Conventional Personalitys and I don't have any Turnked personalitys. How would I add more than 254 Conventional Personalitys? Thanks for all answers and input.

You're limited to 254. You can reuse a personality multiple times for different modes. Is there a particular reason you need to have a separate personality for each conventional channel?

For the OP: Can I recommend you spend some time going through the CPS tutorials. You obviously have quite a but of confusion about elementary Astro 25 programming concepts.

I understand everyone starts somewhere, so start here: read, read, read the help files... and feel free to read, read, read posts throughout the forum. If you insist on jumping into this without a little research ahead of time, you will continue to run into these types of brick walls.

Thanks for your input. I need more than 254 Personalitys because each one is assigned to a scan list. But I will now just put a Personality for multiple Chanels. I will make it work somehow.

254 Scan lists? You know you can use the same channel in many different scan lists right? I think you might want to investigate how to program scan lists and what happens when you assign a personality to a certain scan list. I think you will find that you need much less than you are using.

OP is attempting no-affiliate scan, I would guess. It appears as if he is mapping one talk group to each scan list so he can "park" on one talk group. A far simpler approach is using Nuisance Delete alongside scan lists with 5 or 10 members. Much cleaner approach in the CPS, and saves your wrist from mouse-clicking all over the place for hours...

The OP said he had no trunked personalities so I thought he was talking regular scan. Any way I still think he can get what he wants if he gets to understand scan better
