Anyone have any info/part numbers/prices for the XTS5000 Tactical Repeaters? Specifically the interface cable and carry pouch?

I would like to piece one together for occasional use. Anyone have any firsthand experience?

Unless you work for a federal 3 letter agency, you can not buy any of the parts. Have played with one and have part numbers somewhere. Same as TMX2000, no FCC and does not meet SAR rules so legal will not let the sell anything from the kit

Well there is always hope that something might pop up on the surplus market.

I take it this cable is not something that can be built?

Nope. Played with this cable as well. Most of the cool toys are ordered to be destroyed rather than surplussed when it meets the end of its useful lifespan.

I just use a Transpeater interface and a duplexer and you have a XTS5000 tactical repeater. You can even cross-band repeat without a duplexer. I have used it on the ground and airborne with great results in P25, analog, and cross-mode. Hope this helps....

Are you talking about the Transpeater III unit? Any idea what the price point on these is?

I have a Transpeater original which is the same as the II and III except that they allow a 3rd link radio. They also use standard D9 connectors for the radio interface where the original uses DIN connectors. I do not know how much they are going for today I purchased mine used for ~$150 a number of years ago. I like that the interface is powered directly from the radio interface so you do not need to carry extra(different)batteries.
