Hello..

I have a VHF XTL5000 with 05 Head with Siren and VRS750 UHF all hooked together, my question is I also have a XTVA with HHCH for my XTS5000 UHF model 3 is there a way to make the VRS come alive when I remove the portable from the XTVA like the "jerk and run" of the old days....? any thoughts...?

Thanks
Kevin

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "come alive"?

When he pulls his portable from the xtva, he wants the vrs to activate automatically.

Similar to how all the vehicular drop-in chargers operate. They have a +12v trigger wire that is activated when the radio is removed and the VRS switch is in the ON position.

So the XTVA does not have the 12v out trigger?

Look at the detailed service manual for the xtva (it is available here somewhere). There are provisions for VRS activation. I believe it is through the db25 connector.
